The College of Humanities and Social Sciences at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) is searching for a faculty member with a strong capacity (proven track record/ extensive experience/a strong background/) to join the Department of Arabic language and literature. Candidates should be dedicated to excellence in teaching, field education, research, and demonstrate a strong commitment to high professional standards, significant and successful teaching and advising experience at the undergraduate level as well as demonstrable research capability to develop a research program in his/her area of expertise The United Arab Emirates University invites applications for Associate Professor Full Professor position in Traditional Arabic Literary Criticism. Qualified candidates at all levels will be considered at a rank commensurate with academic accomplishments. Candidates are expected to have a strong commitment to teaching excellence and student advising at the undergraduate and graduate levels, a demonstrable research capability that will enable the candidate to develop and sustain an internally and/or externally funded research program in his/her area of expertise, publish his/her research findings in refereed journals, and actively engage in promoting the growth of the UAE University. The application package should include a cover letter, a detailed resume, a brief description of current/future research activities, teaching philosophy, and courses taught. Screening of applications will continue until the position is filled. The successful applicant will hold an earned Ph.D. in the discipline from an accredited university and will meet the qualifications for the relevant rank. the applicant should master English language skills. The successful applicant will also have a record of refereed publications and an agenda of on-going research. Subject to timeliness for the successful applicant, this appointment will commence in August 2022.\n\n\nMinimum Qualification\n\n\nApplicants must have an earned doctorate in the applicable field.
