Our capability is world-leading and combines a multi-disciplinary approach that integrates design, technology and management expertise.\n\n\nWe are looking to recruit 3 suitably qualified and experienced persons to work within our centres.\n\n\nAbout You\n\n\nYou will be involved in the development of test rig assemblies, test activities and systems installation in support of commercial research contracts, MSc and PhD student projects.\n\n\nThis role will also assist/ support researchers on design, manufacturability of items and cost effectiveness of solutions possible. This involves discussing needs and requirements with researchers to solve challenging and complex problems, preparation of testing activities and set up and operation of industrial and research equipment.\n\n\nYou will ideally be keen to learn or already have some skills in design and manufacture of simple test rig components to support rig testing in response to research requirements.  \n\n\nYou will be expected to hold at least an apprenticeship in an engineering discipline and/or have significant working experience in Mechanical Engineering or a research, development or test type environment, although, specific training will be available to the right candidate.\n\n\nExperience in the development and operation of test rigs and test equipment is highly desirable though not essential for level 3 roles.\n\n\nOur Values and Commitments\n\n\nOur shared, stated values help to define who we are and underpin everything we do: Ambition; Impact; Respect; and Community.
