The Programmes Team operates within the Professional Services Team which includes the Student Experience, Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) and Business Support, working closely with teaching staff across the portfolio of programmes. </p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"> </p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">The Programmes Officer works as part of the King’s Foundations Programmes team, providing front-line support to our students and academic staff, in a seamless and effective manner. The Programme Officer is responsible for essential work supporting the delivery of our year-round suite of taught programmes, helping to ensure that our student lifecycle activities (Welcome and Induction, attendance monitoring, student welfare, teaching and assessment) run efficiently and effectively. With support to develop a working knowledge of processes and regulations, the Programmes Officer should have strong communication skills, a proactive approach and a keen eye for accuracy and detail in order to deliver an excellent student and staff experience. </p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"> </p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">The role is primarily based at Bush House on the King’s Strand Campus though you may be required to travel to other campuses on occasion. King’s is currently trialling a hybrid working scheme where staff may be able to work remotely for part of the week, as determined by required output and departmental need.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"> </p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">This post will be offered on an a fixed-term contract until 28th October 2022 </p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">This is a full-time post.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">Key responsibilities</p>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Provide front-line support to students and staff through the on-campus reception desk and King’s Foundations in-box. Ensure enquiries are responded to as appropriate within agreed timeframes, taking responsibility for responding directly to more complex enquiries and escalating with line manager when required. </li>\n<li>Support the provision of student lifecycle processes – from welcome and induction, timetabling and attendance monitoring, to assessment and beyond. Use systems and databases- e.g. student records systems and virtual learning environments – accordingly, and in accordance with best practice. Ensure consistency of service and data, identifying and resolving issues according to changing priorities, adjusting work patterns accordingly. </li>\n<li>Work closely with the Student Experience Team in the preparation and on the day delivery of welcome & induction activity and student social events.</li>\n<li>Actively participate in the development and improvement of processes to support students and academic staff, by identifying and suggesting service improvements based on stakeholder feedback.</li>\n<li>Take personal accountability for the data quality of student records, ensuring records are accurately maintained in accordance with the agreed retention schedules.</li>\n<li>Assist in ensuring that quality assurance requirements and, where required, accreditation requirements are met for all provision. To service committees as directed by your line manager.</li>\n<li>Work flexibly as part of a team, supporting others in times of high-volume activity, providing cover and supporting the training and development of new staff members.</li>\n<li>Take responsibility for own performance and development, through agreeing clear performance objectives, maintaining up-to-date knowledge and reflecting on own performance.</li>\n<li>Ensure all work is carried out in a professional and timely manner, with appropriate confidentiality and sensitivity. Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to draft documents and correspondence autonomously to a broad range of audiences </p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">2. Strong numeracy skills and ability to analyse complex numerical data (e.g., assessment marksheets) </p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">3. Excellent time management and organisational skills. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
