The successful candidates are also expected to supervise undergraduate and graduate students in research and contribute to the university in terms of service and administration.\n\n\nJob Requirement\nCandidates should have a PhD degree in mathematics or a closely aligned discipline, ideally with few years of teaching/research experience at a university or equivalent after completion of PhD degree. Successful candidates should be a strong team player with good communication skills and high sense of responsibility. They should be self-motivated and able to motivate others. Fluency in English and strong knowledge/experience in international higher education are required. \n\nSuccessful candidates are expected to be committed to excellence in teaching at undergraduate or postgraduate levels. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrable ability to undertake independent research leading to outcomes with a strong impact, such as publication in high quality, internationally recognized, indexed journals and scholarly presses. Academic rank will be determined in accordance with successful candidate’s experience and accomplishments.\n\n\nBenefits and Appointment Terms\nSalary will be commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience. Fringe benefits include housing allowance, leave and social insurance. Appointment to this position will initially be made on a fixed-term contract of two years. Since its first enrollment in 2005, UIC has grown into an international institution with innovative educational approaches.Twenty-three undergraduate programmes are currently being offered by four divisions: namely, the Division of Business and Management, the Division of Culture and Creativity, the Division of Humanities and Social Sciences, and the Division of Science and Technology. UIC has extended its enrollment of Category 1 candidates from 30 provinces and municipalities in mainland China. There are more than 6000 undergraduate students now, including those from Hong Kong, Taiwan and overseas. Teaching staff from more than 30 countries and regions make it possible for UIC to use English as the medium of instruction.
