As a result, we are recruiting a new Lecturer to become a valued member of the Psychology team. The Psychology department has significant modern laboratory and research facilities to support the group’s research and teaching activities. We welcome applicants with research interests in any area of psychology and would be very interested to hear from applicants whose research/experience could support our growing area of Forensic Psychology.\n\n\nWe value international perspectives in our teaching, both for our local students and for students on our Transnational Education Programmes in Hong Kong and Singapore.\n\n\n\nEdinburgh Napier University’s phenomenal results from the Research Excellence Framework (2021) are testament to our growing strength and capability as a research institution.\n\n\nREF 2021 assessed 68% of our research as either “world-leading” or “internationally excellent”, up 15% since 2014. We are confident that we are well on our way to establishing ourselves as one of the UK’s world-leading universities in research.\n\n\n\nThe role\n\n\nAs a Lecturer in Psychology, you will join our vibrant Psychology team. Within this role, you will conduct individual and collaborative research projects, contributing to the excellent research profile within our School, leading to the production of high quality and impactful research outputs.\n\n\nYou will be responsible for developing, designing, and delivering teaching and student-centred learning underpinned by academic scholarship and professional practice within your assigned areas of responsibility. These will include possible contributions to our undergraduate BPS accredited Psychology and Psychology with Sociology programmes, our BPS accredited MSc in Applied Forensic Psychology, and our MSc in Applied Criminology and Forensic Psychology.\n\n\nWho we are looking for\n\n\nWe will look for demonstrable evidence of research or teaching specialisation in Psychology and we would be keen to receive applications from candidates that complement or enhance the expertise of our team, particularly if they align with areas of Forensic Psychology. Candidates with experience of qualitative and quantitative psychological research methods are welcomed.
