As part of the Business Applications Support team, you will work alongside experienced application specialists and software engineers to help our professional services staff make best use of our systems and services. You will collaborate with University staff in order to develop our services to better suit their needs.\n\n\nWhat you’ll do \n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Use your knowledge and experience in ServiceNow development to design and implement best practice ServiceNow based solutions to improve the efficiency of professional services procedures.</li>\n<li>Write clear, concise and accurate technical documentation, such as requirements, system design, use case diagrams, sequence diagrams and class diagrams</li>\n<li>Participate in administration of ServiceNow platform, including issue and performance mitigation, health checks, deployment of features and ServiceNow platform upgrades</li>\n<li>Perform upkeep on existing solutions (e.g. business rules, UI policies, client scripts, ACLs, workflows, dashboard &amp; reporting, data imports, service catalog development, etc.)</li>\n<li>Monitor and optimize the health, usage, and overall compliance of the ServiceNow platform</li>\n<li>Identify system deficiencies and divergences from best practice within the production instance</li>\n<li>Advise colleagues on design, development and overall best practice configuration of ServiceNow</li>\n</ul>\n\n\nWhat you’ll bring \n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Your enthusiasm for technology and problem solving</li>\n<li>Your formidable skills in:</li>\n<li>Advanced ServiceNow development skills - Business Rules, Client Scripts, Workflows, Form Design, UI Actions</li>\n<li>Application Development and customization</li>\n<li>Service Portal Development</li>\n<li>REST and SOAP API - Integration development</li>\n<li>CMDB</li>\n<li>Knowledge of ITSM</li>\n<li>Knowledge Management</li>\n<li>Your demonstrable clear verbal and written communication skills</li>\n<li>An ability to apply your breadth of knowledge to a variety of situations</li>\n</ul>\n\n\nThe University of Southampton is a research driven institution, home to some of the world’s leading minds, expanding our knowledge and passing it on to future generations. iSolutions is the University’s IT support service whose 230+ staff support the delivery of the University’s research and education activities as well as the usual business operations.
