MM is dedicated to providing cutting-edge knowledge and practical skills for students in three key areas of business - Management, Marketing, and Management Information Systems. MM offers a full range of programmes leading to the degrees of Doctor of Philosophy, Master of Science, and Bachelor of Business Administration. Recent PhD graduates have been placed in top universities in Hong Kong, mainland China, and overseas.\n\n\nThe department currently has around 60 full-time academics who are actively involved in research, consultancy and management development work with businesses in Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland, and internationally. MM also has two well-established centers – Center for Leadership &amp; Innovation (CLI) and Asian Center for Branding &amp; Marketing (ACBM) – that produce leading research outputs. The Department is also committed to excellence in teaching, research, and service to the community.\n\n\nThe Marketing group has 16 faculty members with expertise in consumer behaviour, marketing strategy, and analytical modelling, who publish regularly in the top journals in the field. We are seeking to appoint a senior academic with a proven track record and international research reputation in Marketing.\n\n\nThe appointee will be required to:\n\n\n(a)   provide leadership in all aspects of academic activities, including research, teaching, and service in the Department;  \n\n\n(b)   provide leadership in promoting research collaboration, securing external research grants, and enhancing research quality and publication output;  \n\n\n(c)   engage in scholarly research/high-level consultancy;  \n\n\n(d)   supervise research students;  \n\n\n(e)   teach and contribute to curriculum development at undergraduate and postgraduate levels;  \n\n\n(f)   contribute to academic administration and management in the University; and  \n\n\n(g)   perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of Unit or his delegates.  \n\n\nQualifications\n\n\nApplicants should have:\n\n\n(a)   a doctoral degree in Marketing or a related field;  \n\n\n(b)   an international reputation in research and scholarship;  \n\n\n(c)   a strong record in attracting research funding and excellence in research outputs;  \n\n\n(d)   a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and learning; and\n\n\n(e)   proven qualities of academic leadership.  \n\n\nConditions of Service\n\n\nTerms of appointment and remuneration package are negotiable and highly competitive at the global level.
