{"job":{"jobId":2454106,"fk_accountId":null,"fk_organizationId":493,"fk_adminAccountId":null,"title":"Clinical Professor, Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine","description":"\n\nWork type: Full-time\nDepartment: Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine (20000)\nCategories: Professoriate Staff\n\n\nHKUMed is now seeking exceptional candidates in the following disciplines to join its ranks:\n\n\nAnaesthesiology/ Clinical Oncology/ Community Medicine/ Diagnostic Radiology/ Emergency Medicine/ Family Medicine and Primary Care/ Medical Oncology/ Medicine/ Microbiology/ Obstetrics and Gynaecology/ Ophthalmology/ Orthopaedics and Traumatology/ Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine/ Pathology/ Psychiatry/ Surgery\n\n\nApplications are invited for appointments as Tenure-Track Clinical Professor (several posts) within the LKS Faculty of Medicine (Ref.: 516700), to commence as soon as possible, on a four-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal and consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second four-year fixed-term contract.  Exceptionally outstanding candidate may be considered for appointment on tenure terms.\n\n\nApplicants should possess a specialist registration with the Hong Kong Medical Council (or be eligible to apply to the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine for the Certification of Specialist Registration), and preferably other relevant higher academic qualification (e.g. MD, MS, PhD).  They should have a distinguished and sustained record of high-quality impactful research, as indicated by publications and competitive grants, with demonstrated clinical excellence.  They should also have achieved international recognition for scholarship and professional expertise.  In addition, applicants should demonstrate a strong commitment to, and evidence of, excellence in teaching, curriculum development, capacity building, mentoring early career researchers and supervision at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.  Preference will be given to those with demonstrated administrative leadership in universities or healthcare settings.   \n\n\nAppointees shall be mapped to the relevant departments and take up a key role in achieving the highest standard of quality in all aspects of its teaching, research and clinical programmes;
