They should have a strong interest in infectious disease research, a good command of written and spoken English, excellent communication skills, and a strong track record of research as indicated by publication record.\n\n\nThe appointee will work closely with Dr. Dhanasekaran and other team members in the Pathogen Evolution lab on applying phylodynamics to rapidly evolving human viruses such as influenza and SARS-CoV-2 to study the interaction of human immunity with virus evolution. He/She will use sequence and epidemiological data from cohort studies and systematic surveillance, outbreak investigations and computational methods to link genomic data with other ecological, epidemiological, and immunological datasets.
