As well as providing professional training and study at undergraduate and postgraduate level, GSA also runs a Junior Conservatoire, a Saturday School and a number of other short courses, as well as a full programme of public productions and events.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">We are seeking an experienced individual to take up the post of Performing Arts Technician (Video & Digital) in the technical team, within the Operations and Events Department at GSA.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">The Performing Arts Technician (Video & Digital) provides technical expertise to support the delivery of all programmes and the development and application of appropriate skills and capabilities, in order to assist the realisation of GSA theatre productions, other public arts events, research events, student society events, open days, conferences, lectures and meetings.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">The team also provides equipment, support, mentoring and maintenance, ensuring a high standard for all GSA activities. Providing an excellent student experience is central to all we do.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">The successful candidate will have experience of working with in a video department on varied live productions or film settings, and preferably have experience of working in a Conservatoire or other Higher Education setting. </p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">You will be an experienced video technician with good administrative, pastoral and inter-personal skills and knowledge of current practices and techniques in professional theatre and entertainment production, ideally with experience of working with and maintaining filming equipment, filming processes and editing software.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">You will be well organised, able to meet deadlines and manage your own workload, taking responsibility for supervising, demonstrating and mentoring students and freelance staff, managing and repairing equipment and the video equipment budget.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">You will have up-to-date knowledge of Health & Safety and a commitment to promoting safe working and inclusive practices.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">As a new colleague at GSA you will join a thriving HE theatre community, working with excellent colleagues and students.
