Appointments will be on a 2-year contract in the first instance, with the possibility of extension.\n\n\nPurpose of the post\n\n\nThe Centre for Healthy Longevity (CHL), one of 6 Centres of Excellence of the National University Health System (NUHS), aims to be a leading institute for geroscience research and translation globally, renowned for translating research into practice to improve healthspan.\n\n\nThe Research Associate will play a key role in administering and coordinating the projects to ensure all milestones and deliverables are met. Critical to this position is establishing and maintaining strong relationships with the clinical partners and academic stakeholders, through meeting management and creation of high-quality oral and written communications content. The role will suit someone with strong writing skills, administration and communications experience and data handling experience, who can enthusiastically engage internal &amp; external stakeholders, and enjoys managing multiple demands and competing deadlines. The research coordinator will work closely with Prof. Andrea B. Maier and the multidisciplinary team of researchers within the Centre for Healthy Longevity.\n\n\nMain Duties and Responsibilities\n\n\nThe Research Associate is expected to:\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Provide a range of administrative support service to the Clinical CHL group to manage all aspects of project administration including financial administration, general administration, stakeholder engagement and coordination of communications content;</li>\n<li>Work closely together with the Clinical CHL members to design and deliver research priorities, including assisting in the preparation of grant proposals, ethic applications, governance documents and publications;</li>\n<li>Point-of-contact for staff involved in research activities, including e.g. inclusion of participants, databases;</li>\n<li>Assist in setting up and coordinating advisory consumer group panels and public engagement events;</li>\n<li>Assist in maintaining websites and social media engagement;</li>\n<li>Provide a point-of-contact regarding Clinical CHL research activities for external stakeholders and students;</li>\n<li>Cooperate with other (international) research groups;</li>\n</ul>\n\n\nQualifications\n\n\nThe applicant should have:\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Master's Degree qualification in a relevant (biomedical) area with an understanding of aging</li>\n<li>Understanding of clinical trials and or observational longitudinal studies</li>\n<li>Excellent organisational skills and the ability to undertake a range of tasks concurrently</li>\n<li>Ability to monitor standards, guidelines and principles in relation to the position</li>\n<li>High level of verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information in easily understood format for a variety of audiences;</li>\n<li>Have an investigative nature &amp; attention to details</li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to problem solve and to use initiative as appropriate</li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team linking different fields (e.g. epidemiology, biogerontology)</li>\n</ul>\n\n\nRemuneration will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.\n\n\nFormal application: Please submit your application, indicating current/expected salary, supported by a detailed CV (including personal particulars, academic and employment history, complete list of publications/oral presentations and full contacts of 3 referees).\n\n\nWe regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.\n\n\nAdditional Information\n\n\nAt NUS, the health and safety of our staff and students are one of our utmost priorities, and COVID-vaccination supports our commitment to ensure the safety of our community and to make NUS as safe and welcoming as possible.
