{"job":{"jobId":2461172,"fk_accountId":null,"fk_organizationId":483,"fk_adminAccountId":null,"title":"Research Scientist, Bioinformatician, Cancer Science Institute 1","description":"\n\nJOB DESCRIPTION\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Analyze and integrate various NGS data</li>\n<li>Build and reproduce pipelines to process all types of DNA and RNA sequencing data</li>\n<li>Maintain all source code within Git and Dockerize all pipeline components</li>\n<li>Liaise with the Scaling Unit to convert pipelines into scalable workflows</li>\n<li>To build and maintain general infrastructure components of the GeDaC cloud-based platform (e.g. genomic databases)</li>\n<li>Provide on-demand bioinformatics support for CSI investigators</li>\n<li>Any other services as requested by supervisors</li>\n</ol>\n\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Masters or Ph.D. in genetics, genomics, bioinformatics, computational biology, or related</li>\n<li>fields with 2 years of working experience</li>\n<li>Solid foundation in biology and genomics</li>\n<li>Experience processing and analyzing high-throughput sequencing data</li>\n<li>Appreciable Python and/or R programming skills</li>\n</ul>\n\n\nPREFERENCES\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Experience analyzing legacy data types (microarrays, CGH arrays, etc.)</li>\n<li>Authorship on scientific publications</li>\n<li>Software development experience</li>\n<li>Experience with collaborative software development via github/gitlab</li>\n</ul>\n\n\nCovid-19 Message\n\n\nAt NUS, the health and safety of our staff and students are one of our utmost priorities, and COVID-vaccination supports our commitment to ensure the safety of our community and to make NUS as safe and welcoming as possible.
