{"job":{"jobId":2461184,"fk_accountId":null,"fk_organizationId":24052,"fk_adminAccountId":null,"title":"Research Assistant in the Division of Science Biology Dr. Kenichiro Kamei","description":"\n\nDescription\n\n\nThe Kamei Reverse Bioengineering Laboratory in the Division of Science and Engineering, New York University Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a research assistant to work on projects focused on understanding how stem cells transform to organs/tissues and express their functions by applying nano/microengineering.\n\n\nResearch in the Kamei Reverse Bioengineering Laboratory focuses on the study of organogenesis and early embryogenesis, using stem cell biology, fluorescent cell imaging, bioinformatics and nano/microengineering, and we will apply obtained fundamental understandings for regenerative medicine, disease modelling and drug development. Responsibilities of the research assistant include conducting literature reviews, culturing cells, conducting cellular/molecular biological assays, performing bioinformatic analyses, and training new lab members. The research assistant will also assist in drafting research reports for dissemination of research findings.\n\n\nApplicants with a strong interest in understanding differentiation process of stem cells to organs/tissues, good organization skills and communication skills are encouraged to apply. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s/ Master's degree in Science, Engineering or equivalent and prior experience in a lab setting. The ideal candidate will have basic programming experience with R, Python or MATLAB and experience with cell culture/assays and bioinformatical analyses. Organizational skills and attention to detail are essential.\n\n\nThe terms of employment are very competitive and include housing and transportation allowances.
