Those with experience in fieldwork data collection, contacts with elder people and caregivers, and good knowledge of the local elderly services settings are preferred. They should have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese), excellent knowledge of quantitative research methods and statistical software (such as SPSS, STATA, R, etc.), a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to work independently. Those with less experience may be considered for appointment as Assistant Research Officer.\n\n\nThe appointee will contribute to multiple projects relating to healthy ageing and programme evaluation. He/She will be responsible for project management, project dissemination, data analysis, preparation of presentations, manuscripts and reports, supervision of research assistants, and performing other research-related duties as assigned.\n\n\nA highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.   The appointment will attract a contract end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary for Research Officer, or up to 10% of basic salary for Assistant Research Officer.\n\n\nThe University only accepts online applications for the above post.
