{"job":{"jobId":2484717,"fk_accountId":null,"fk_organizationId":493,"fk_adminAccountId":null,"title":"Research Officer in the School of Nursing","description":"\n\nDepartment: School of Nursing (20800)\nCategories: Senior Research Staff &amp; Post-doctoral Fellow\n\n\nApplications are invited for appointment as Research Officer (holding the functional title of Senior Project Coordinator) in the School of Nursing (Ref.: 522491), to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis or one-year temporary basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.\n\n\nApplicants should possess a Master’s degree in Public Health, Nursing, Social Sciences, or a related discipline, with at least five years’ experience in community-based research, public health research or population sciences research.  They should have experience in community health promotion; knowledge of the application of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in research; and excellent written and verbal communication skills.  They should be able to work independently as well as in a multidisciplinary team, and be competent to collaborate with external parties including academics, social service groups and politicians.\n\n\nThe appointee will work for the Jockey Club SMART Family-Link Project under the supervision of Professor Kelvin Wang, with the aim of promoting family well-being by leveraging ICT for innovative family services.  He/She will coordinate research design; liaise with community parties and institutions; plan, develop and conduct community-based interventions and training programmes for local social service practitioners and professionals; facilitate the collection of big data; oversee data collection and management; write scientific publications and reports; supervise research staff members; and perform other duties as assigned.\n\n\nA highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment on fixed-term basis will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
