The applicant should have expertise in digital well-being and human-computer interaction. A candidate with a background at the intersection of social science and human-computer interaction is preferred, given that the project seeks to understand the theoretical mechanisms and design the human-chatbot interaction. The appointment will be for a period of 1.5 years at the first instance. This project is led by Professor Yi-Chieh Lee to investigate the psychological well-being outcomes of interactions with chatbots. The postdoc fellow will collaborate with the PI to publish research in top-tier conferences and journals (e.g., CHI, CSCW, Ubicomp, and UIST).\n\n\nQualifications\n\n\nThe applicant should possess the following qualifications:\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>A Ph.D. degree from a recognized university and relevant subjects. Preferably with a background in both social science, human-centered AI, and human-computer interaction (HCI)</li>\n<li>Research expertise in digital well-being, human-computer interaction, and health communication, with prior research project experiences related to conversational user interface</li>\n<li>Advanced statistical programming languages such as R, Python, and SPSS, particularly proficiency in structural equation modeling</li>\n<li>A publication record in both social science and human-computer interaction</li>\n<li>Prior experience in Randomized Controlled Trial experiments, surveys, and computational social science</li>\n<li>Interdisciplinary work experiences with individuals from diverse backgrounds such as computer science, social science, and cognitive science</li>\n<li>Excellent English written and spoken communication skills.
