{"job":{"jobId":2487849,"fk_accountId":null,"fk_organizationId":494,"fk_adminAccountId":null,"title":"Digital Learning Specialist","description":"\n\nJob description\n\n\nWe are really pleased to offer this excellent opportunity to join our team in the Florence Nightingale Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery &amp; Palliative Care as a Digital Learning Specialist.\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>\nAs part of the professional service team, you  will work with the faculty lead for simulation, faculty staff, and simulation team to explore and implement a range of extended reality and other digital learning platforms to meet the academic requirement of clinical skills acquisition\n</li>\n<li>\nProvide learning technology support, investigating and resolving technical issues, and suggesting the use of appropriate solutions to deliver tailored learning, teaching, and assessment activities\n</li>\n<li>\nDesign, develop, support, and maintain e-modules for simulated practice that meets blended learning pedagogy and meet regulatory standards\n</li>\n<li>\nReview data and evaluate the effectiveness of current digital teaching and learning content designed to support simulated practice learning with respect to student engagement and satisfaction, and congruence to learning objectives and make recommendations/improvements and inform governance\n</li>\n<li>\nWork with faculty in developing innovative teaching, learning, and assessment strategies using digital platforms to enhance student experience and engagement\n</li>\n<li>\nWork with academics to evaluate, develop, and embed extended reality into the pre-registration curriculum to support the faculty’s objective and simulation strategic vision.\n</li>\n<li>\nAssist with ongoing and new research in clinical and human factor simulation\n</li>\n<li>\nKeep abreast of developments in techniques and technologies\n</li>\n<li>\nPromote awareness of the Faculty as a proactive user of learning technologies through association with professional network\n</li>\n</ul>\n\n\nThis post will be offered on an indefinite contract.\n\n\nThis is a full-time post.\n\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Support academic staff with the use of extended reality</li>\n<li>Create, design, and support the implementation of innovative blended learning materials</li>\n<li>Supporting academic delivery </li>\n<li>Contribute to the simulation strategic vision</li>\n<li>Contribute to student satisfaction and engagement</li>\n<li>Data analytics and reporting</li>\n</ul>\n\n\nThe above list of responsibilities may not be exhaustive, and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be expected within the scope and grading of the post.\n\n\nSkills, knowledge, and experience\n\n\nEssential criteria\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Qualifications -Undergraduate Degree or higher</li>\n<li>Experience in embedding technology into academic curriculum</li>\n<li>Technical expertise in developing and utilising virtual learning environments</li>\n<li>Technical knowledge and competency in utilising virtual reality, augmented reality, or extended reality</li>\n<li>Comprehensive knowledge and experience of the principles of instructional design</li>\n<li>Experience of working with academics in digital transformation of learning materials to enhance student learning experience and engagement</li>\n<li>Experience of working as part of a cross-functional team</li>\n<li>Demonstrate effective communication and teamwork</li>\n<li>Ability to work autonomously, lead and deliver projects, initiatives and/or innovations</li>\n<li>Experience in recording, interpreting, and presenting data</li>\n<li>Demonstrates a commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusivity for staff and students</li>\n</ol>\n\n\nDesirable criteria\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Experience in contributing to strategy development involving technology to enhance learning</li>\n<li>Agile Project Management</li>\n<li>Demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills to drive improvements</li>\n</ol>\n\n\nCandidates are strongly encouraged to specifically address the essential criteria outlined in the Person Specification in their covering letter.\n\n\nFurther information\n\n\nWe are committed to continually improving the diversity of our workforce, and therefore we encourage applications from all groups.
