Through quantitative biophysical approaches, we address major problems in biomedical sciences, including pathogenesis (from bacterial to cancer), tissue regeneration, and function.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">Asst. Prof. Chan seeks a highly motivated individual to join his laboratory on <em>Mammalian Development and Tissue Hydraulics</em> as a postdoctoral fellow at the Mechanobiology Institute in the National University of Singapore. His laboratory seeks to understand the mechanobiological principles underlying ovarian follicle development, using ex vivo mouse ovary and follicle culture.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><strong>Project Scope</strong></p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">The candidate will have a chance to apply and develop interdisciplinary approaches to investigate how tissue mechanics and fluid pressure control ovarian follicle growth and ovulation. The candidate will combine quantitative imaging with microfluidics and biomechanical tools to study the mechanochemical roles of fluid in driving antral follicle development and ovulation.
