{"job":{"jobId":2488562,"fk_accountId":null,"fk_organizationId":1838,"fk_adminAccountId":null,"title":"Lecturer in Environmental and Safety Management","description":"\n\nSchool/Department: Cranfield Defence and Security\nBased at: Shrivenham, Oxfordshire - Cranfield Defence and Security\nHours of work: Full-time (37 hours per week) or Part-time (hours to be discussed and agreed)\nContract type: Permanent\nSalary: Full time starting salary is normally in the range of £48,039 to £53,338 per annum, pro-rata with potential progression to £66,212 per annum, pro-rata\nApply by: 30/09/2023\n\n\nRole Description\n\n\nThe Centre for Defence Chemistry / Environmental Science and Research Support Group covers a wide range of teaching and research.  In contributing to delivery of the MOD Academic Provided Contract the Group has a significant input to the Explosives Ordnance Engineering Course (EOE), the Ammunition Technical Officers (ATO) and the Ammunition Technicians Course (AT).\n\n\nAbout the Role\n\n\nYou will:\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Deliver and develop MOD environmental and safety management courses, including a hazardous materials course, to the specifications of the course sponsor. </li>\n<li>Deliver education at MSc level on the Explosives Ordnance and Engineering MSc.</li>\n<li>Support MSc Level project students in explosives in the environment, which includes impact to land, air and water.</li>\n<li>Help grow the research output of the Environmental Sciences Team to enable publication of peer-reviewed papers, and successful research grant applications.</li>\n</ul>\n\n\nAbout You\n\n\nYou will have an environmental / safety / engineering science or chemistry PhD with a Post Graduate Certificate in Academic Practice or willing to study towards PGCAP qualification and FHEA.  You will have experience of presenting / teaching technical subjects at A-level or above.  Laboratory experience and a track record of high-quality research publications is essential.  A strong background in environmental science / engineering and knowledge of environmental and safety management is required.  Knowledge of MOD structure and practice is desirable. \n\n\nAbout Us\n\n\nAs a specialist postgraduate university, Cranfield’s world-class expertise, large-scale facilities and unrivalled industry partnerships are creating leaders in technology and management globally.
