COFS, established in 1997 as an ARC Special Research Centre, is a world-leading research centre in offshore geotechnics, at the forefront of research in offshore renewables. The OGS is home to a critical mass of researchers spanning ocean engineering, oceanography and marine science. In addition to COFS, the OGS hosts the Wave Energy Research Centre, the ARC Research Hub for Transforming energy Infrastructure through Digital Engineering and Woodside’s FutureLab collaboration network. OGS researchers conduct world-leading research to provide ocean solutions in relation to the marine environment and resources, engineering and technology.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><strong>About the opportunity</strong></p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">To work with the Chief Investigators and Partner Investigator (at the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute (NGI), Oslo) to undertake the geotechnical research defined in the ARC Discovery Project.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">As the appointee you will, under limited direction of the UWA Chief Investigators and in collaboration with the NGI Partner Investigator, participate in and coordinate research that will lead to a reliability-based geotechnical design approach that can be applied to floating offshore wind applications.
