This is a balanced teaching and research position and the School of Geosciences is looking for applicants with strong research capacity or potential.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">The successful applicant will be expected to have teaching experience and/or capacity to teach into the School of Geosciences teaching program, servicing majors and postgraduate coursework degrees in the areas of Geography, Global Development and Environmental Studies.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">Your key responsibilities will be to:</p>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>contribute to knowledge within human and environmental geography</li>\n<li>engage in high-quality teaching and learning experiences (at undergraduate, honours and postgraduate levels) which meet the University's expectations and standards for education</li>\n<li>design and deliver quality educational programs and experiences that support student needs and meet curriculum requirements</li>\n<li>influence outstanding teaching and learning outcomes</li>\n<li>contribute to research, education, and administrative activities</li>\n<li>develop an academic profile through conferences, seminars and outreach activities (e.g. school outreach and orientation activities)</li>\n<li>enhance a positive workplace culture and strategic direction of the University.</li>\n</ul>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">The School of Geosciences at the University of Sydney is a dynamic and collegial multi-disciplinary community of scholars and students encompassing the fields of geology and geophysics, marine science, environmental studies, and physical and human geography.
