Key Roles &amp; Responsibilities\n\n\nStrategic Responsibilities\n\n\nN/A\n\n\nOperational Responsibilities\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate the ordering, inventory, storage, and maintenance of supplies, lab ware, and instruments essential to the laboratory operations</li>\n<li>Plan and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the laboratory</li>\n<li>Assist with the development of quality standards and programs</li>\n<li>Monitor and maintain quality of laboratory operations in compliance with accreditation standards, safety and environmental regulations, and other applicable requirements</li>\n<li>Oversee maintenance of test equipment and instruments to ensure accuracy and efficient performance</li>\n<li>Maintain record keeping and communications concerning purchase requests and contract submissions, maintain records for internal store, provide monthly summary of department spending and budget tracking.</li>\n<li>Maintain record keeping and maintenance schedule for shared equipment, includes maintenance of inventory records for shared equipment.</li>\n<li>Assist with the coordination and communication between the Director of Laboratories Office and internal and external research stakeholders.</li>\n<li>Assist with the preparation of presentations and reports on research support strategy, activities and accomplishments.</li>\n<li>Assist in communicating Research Lab capabilities through interaction with Communications as well as other media oriented outlets.</li>\n<li>Communicate and support training of other research support staff on administration and internal business procedures pertinent to the Research Laboratories Office</li>\n<li>Support compliance with the University’s information security policies and procedures, and report breaches or other security risks accordingly</li>\n<li>Adhere to the University's information security and confidentiality policies and procedures, and report breaches or other security risks accordingly</li>\n<li>Coordinate with other departments to facilitate the accomplishment of tasks and responsibilities, as and when needed</li>\n<li>Perform any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager  </li>\n</ul>\n\n\nQualifications  \n\n\n4.
