We offer a wide range of courses in various branches of philosophy, with strengths in Marxist philosophy, Chinese philosophy, Western philosophy, philosophy of science and technology, logic, ethics, religious studies, and Oriental philosophy and religions.\n\n\nThe Department is home to some prestigious research centers and institutes, including the Center for Studies of Marxist Social Theory, the Diane and Guilford Glazer Institute of Jewish and Israel Studies, the Center for Studies of Confucianism Daoism Buddhism and Traditional Chinese Culture, Institute of Modern Logic and Application, Institute for Phenomenology, etc.\n\n\nII. Positions\n\n\nWe now have 3 tenure-track associate professors and/or tenure-track assistant professors positions available (the number of positions for tenure-track associate professors should not exceed 1 in principle). Specific fields of research open for recruitment are:\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Western Philosophy</li>\n<li>Logic</li>\n<li>Religious Studies</li>\n<li>Eastern Philosophy and Religion</li>\n<li>Philosophy of Science and Technology</li>\n</ol>\n\n\nIII. Qualifications\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Applicants should abide by the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China and show enthusiasm in teaching and scientific research;</li>\n<li>Good morals and academic ethics. Diligence, and no criminal record or violation of teachers' morals, records of academic ethics punishment;</li>\n<li>Excellent academic background: applicants must have a doctoral degree in a related field as well as working experience in a leading international teaching and research institution, and must be familiar with the state-of-art researches in relevant fields. Assistant Professorship requires at least 2 years of academic research after graduation with a PhD, Associate Professorship requires at least 4 years of academic research after graduation with a PhD;</li>\n<li>Excellent teaching skills: the ability to teach both introductory and cutting-edge courses for majors; good teaching methods and communication skills;</li>\n<li>Record of outstanding research achievements: Outstanding achievements and original thought in scientific research, a clear vision of future research plans, strong academic development potential.</li>\n</ol>\n\n\nIV.
