Working for either the Department of Mathematics or the School of Politics and Economics at one of the most prestigious universities in the UK. Applicants may specify a preference for either School in their personal statement. </p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">This is an ideal opportunity to commence or further your career in Higher Education administration as a Programme Officer within a team, supporting postgraduate teaching. </p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">The Programme Officer supports students and academic staff as the first point of contact for queries, whether face-to-face, via phone or electronic media. The role is responsible for essential work to support the delivery of our taught programmes, for ensuring that student lifecycle activities run smoothly, and that our students and staff experience our services in a seamless and effective manner. With support to develop a working knowledge of regulations and processes, the Programme Officer is a valued and trusted member of the team with a keen eye for accuracy and detail. </p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">This is currently a hybrid role and role holders would spend part of their working week on campus and part of the week working remotely. </p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">We are committed to developing and preserving a diverse and inclusive environment. Support student, module, and programme evaluation process in line with university best practice. </li>\n<li>Servicing committees as directed by your line manager. </li>\n<li>Actively participate in the development and improvement of programmes and processes to support students and academic staff through identifying and suggesting improvements based on user feedback. </li>\n<li>Work flexibly as part of the team, supporting others in times of high-volume activity, providing cover and supporting their training and development of new staff members. </li>\n<li>Take responsibility for own performance and development, through agreeing clear performance objectives, maintaining up-to-date knowledge, and reflecting on own performance. </li>\n<li>Take personal accountability for the data quality of student records, ensuring records are accurately maintained in accordance with agreed retention schedules. </li>\n<li>Ensure all work is carried out in a professional and timely manner with appropriate confidentiality and sensitivity. Degree level or equivalent qualification or experience </p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">2. Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to draft documents and correspondence. </p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">3. Excellent organisation and time management skills and the ability to balance competing priorities under pressure. </p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">4. Strong numeracy skills and ability to analyse complex numerical data. </p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">5. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and the ability to work on new systems. </p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">6. Methodical, detail oriented and flexible in approach to work, maintaining a high level of accuracy. </p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">7. Ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders in a professional and assured manner. </p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">8.
