These connections enable us to further deliver impactful research and improve the student learning experience. \n\n\nThe Department of Decision Analytics and Risk is a large group of highly research active staff and PhD students. This department brings together internationally renowned academics who undertake research into, and teach, a wide range of areas including Management Science, Risk, Operations and Project Management, Knowledge Management and Information Systems, and has internationally-renowned expertise in the specific areas of risk/project/supply chain management, Fintech and health care. The department boasts extensive links with industry offering a number of industrial placement projects per year to students. The Department is supported by four research centres: Centre of Operational Research, Management Science and Information Systems (CORMSIS), Centre for Risk Research (CRR), Advanced Project Management Research Centre and Product Returns Research Group, where staff are actively engaged in cross-disciplinary research. We are looking to further strengthen our expertise in Operations and Supply Chain Management. The successful candidate will be expected to publish high quality research publications, to lead in grant applications and to contribute to contribute to the delivery of the MSc in Strategic Operations and Supply Chain Management as well as to support the delivery of operations and supply chain management units across the department.   \n\n\nAbout you\n\n\nAs an Associate Professor you will play a central role in planning and shaping a research area in the Decision Analytics department.  You will bring to the role a strong professional reputation, including the ability to produce world class research through a sustained publication record in leading international academic journals. You will have a recent track record of research publications at ABS 4* level (or equivalent standing) coupled with research activity. We are looking for new members with different specialisms such as, but not limited to, operations and supply chain management and qualitative/quantitative approaches to engineering and manufacturing, logistics, information systems, purchasing, materials and supply management, economics or strategic management, sustainability, green economy, circular economy with applications in, but not limited to, healthcare, retail, transportation, energy, or construction.  You may have led major funding bids, setting up and managing the resources needed to deliver the research plan. You will act as a leader and ambassador for us across management and enterprise or other engagement activities.\n\n\nYou will be an experienced educator with proven track record of high quality teaching, able to contribute to the development of education policy and practice and able to design and develop courses and programmes at all level (UG, MSc and MBA Level).
