Appointments will be made on a ONE YEAR contract basis, with the possibility of extension.\n\n\nPurpose of the post\n\n\nThe Research Assistant (RA) will be responsible to, and work closely with, the DDOP Director to ensure the successful completion of the proposed activities on time.\n\n\nMain duties and responsibilities\n\n\nThe RA is expected to:\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>conduct in-vitro cell culture screening assays</li>\n<li>conduct in-vivo animal models for drug screening</li>\n<li>conduct biochemical and molecular biological assays</li>\n<li>provide administrative and secretarial support to the project</li>\n<li>support good laboratory management</li>\n</ol>\n\n\nQualifications\n\n\nThe applicant should:\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>have a University degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Science, Chemistry, or other related fields</li>\n<li>be able to work independently and in a team, have an investigative nature and attention to details</li>\n<li>have knowledge of computer applications, e.g. SPSS, MS office, PowerPoint</li>\n<li>have research expertise in biomedical and chemical experimental techniques</li>\n</ol>\n\n\nRemuneration will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.\n\n\nFormal application: Please submit your application, indicating current/expected salary, supported by a detailed CV (including personal particulars, academic and employment history, complete list of publications/oral presentations) and full contacts of 3 referees to this job portal.\n\n\nWe regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.\n\n\nDDOP Director: Professor W.S.
