More information on the department is available at <a data-mz=\"\" href=\"https://medicine.nus.edu.sg/nursing/\" rel=\"no-follow\" target=\"_blank\">https://medicine.nus.edu.sg/nursing/</a>\n\n\nAppointments will be made on a 1-year contract basis with the possibility of extension.\n\n\nPurpose of the post\n\n\nThe main role of the Research Assistant (RA) is to work closely with the Principle Investigator and her study team members to ensure the smooth conduct of multiple multidisciplinary research projects. The RA will be involved in the general practice of recruitment, data collection, data entry and analysis as well as general administrative work for record keeping and project grant related matters.\n\n\nMain Duties and Responsibilities\n\n\nThe appointee will assist the project leader with multiple multidisciplinary research projects, and will be required to:\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Oversee the general management and assist in the administrative and secretarial support to projects (e.g., organizing regular research meetings, meeting minutes recording).</li>\n<li>Assist in grant proposal writing and manuscript preparation.</li>\n<li>Conduct literature searches, using SPSS to enter data, analyze data and maintain trial databases, as well as assist in preparing both progress and final reports of the projects.</li>\n<li>Undertake the day to day running of the project at the study site (such as assist in ethical application and amendment, recruitment, provision of intervention, and data collection in study hospitals).</li>\n<li>Work with various stakeholders on the development and evaluation of new intervention programmes.</li>\n<li>Maintain the highest standard of professional conduct and record keeping in accordance with policies and procedures.</li>\n<li>Work on other tasks as assigned.</li>\n</ol>\n\n\nQualifications\n\n\nThe applicant should:\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Hold a bachelor’s degree in nursing or other health-relevant discipline</li>\n<li>Have some experience working with research project management will be preferred</li>\n<li>Have some experience in conducting interventional research</li>\n<li>Be able to work independently and with a team, have an investigative nature and attention to detail</li>\n<li>Have knowledge of computer applications (such as SPSS and MS Office, PowerPoint); and</li>\n<li>Have good communication skills with patients and colleagues, and fluency in English.</li>\n</ol>\n\n\nRemuneration will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
