{"job":{"jobId":2493935,"fk_accountId":null,"fk_organizationId":493,"fk_adminAccountId":null,"title":"Post-doctoral Fellow in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics in the Department of Physics","description":"\n\nWork type: Full-time\nDepartment: Department of Physics (25600)\nCategories: Senior Research Staff &amp; Post-doctoral Fellow\n\n\nPost-doctoral Fellow in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics in the Department of Physics (Ref.: 523300) \n\n\nWe now invite applications for the captioned post available in Dr. Dongkeun Ki’s group.\n\n\nDuties and Responsibilities\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>perform various research activities to discover and understand new quantum transport phenomena in van der Waals engineered graphene and other 2D materials</li>\n<li>design/refine/maintain the research instruments and facilities</li>\n<li>write research papers and represent the group in international conferences when needed</li>\n<li>teach PhD students and research assistants in the group</li>\n<li>perform other duties as assigned</li>\n</ul>\n\n\nRequirements\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>a Ph.D. degree in experimental condensed matter physics or a related discipline (those who are expecting to complete the degree before the application deadline will also be considered)</li>\n<li>at least three year’s relevant research experience in nano-fabrication (e-beam lithography, lift-off, etching, etc.), van der Waals assembly, and low-temperature &amp; low-noise electrical measurements</li>\n<li>having prior experience in using low temperature cryogenic systems is preferred</li>\n<li>good problem-solving skills</li>\n<li>the ability to work independently and in a team</li>\n<li>self-motivated and responsible  </li>\n</ul>\n\n\nWhat We Offer\n\n\nThe appointment will commence as soon as possible on a temporary basis for 2 years with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered.
