{"job":{"jobId":2494759,"fk_accountId":null,"fk_organizationId":553,"fk_adminAccountId":null,"title":"Project Planner, UniPID Network","description":"\n\nWe are recruiting a Project Planner to join our UniPID team. The Project Planner will be responsible for managing and implementing UniPID’s participation in EU-funded projects related to European Union (EU) – African Union (AU) science, technology, and innovation cooperation.\n\n\nThe appointment will be for a fixed-term, starting on 1.11.2023, or as soon as possible, and ending on 31.12.2024.  The appointment is part-time, 50-70 % of the monthly working hours.\n\n\nUniPID is a partner in two EU-funded projects supporting bi-regional research and innovation collaboration: LEAP-RE (2020-2025) and CEA-FIRST (2024-2028).\n\n\nLEAP-RE, or the Long-Term Joint European Union - African Union Research and Innovation Partnership on Renewable Energy project, aims to reduce fragmentation by aligning existing bilateral and multilateral frameworks. UniPID participates in Pillar 3 of the project and co-coordinates Work Package 4, which aims to maximise the outcomes of the LEAP-RE programme by building a community, strategy, organisation, methodological assets, and tools to set the foundations of a long-lasting AU-EU partnership. <a data-mz=\"\" href=\"https://www.leap-re.eu/\" rel=\"no-follow\">https://www.leap-re.eu/</a>\n\n\nCEA-FIRST or Consortium Europe Africa on Research and Innovation for Food Systems Transformation aims at operationalising the International Research Consortium (IRC) on food and nutrition security and sustainable agriculture establishing its proposed governance structure and an innovative regional flagship funding instrument. The IRC is a member-based multi-actor platform expected to address fragmentation of research and innovation actions in Africa, Europe and globally. UniPID co-coordinates the Work Package 3 Strengthening Networking and Stakeholder Engagement.\n\n\nYour background\n\n\nTo succeed in this role, you must have a Master’s degree from a relevant field and familiarity with EU research and innovation funding programmes, particularly Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe, and experience in implementing and managing externally funded projects, including financial and technical reporting. Demonstrated success in working in international partnerships or settings is highly valued. Fluent English is required, and other languages are an asset.\n\n\nWe consider the following to be beneficial for the post:\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Experience working with partners in Africa, particularly in the context of research and innovation collaboration;</li>\n<li>Familiarity with the European Union and African Union policies and framework for bi-regional science, technology, and innovation cooperation;</li>\n<li>Interest in climate change and sustainable energy and/or food and nutrition security and sustainable agriculture</li>\n<li>Knowledge of the Finnish higher education context, particularly in internationalization;</li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team; and</li>\n<li>Interest to work in a multicultural environment.</li>\n</ul>\n\n\nWhy work for us?\n\n\nWe offer an interesting working environment in higher education, research, and global development.
