The appointee will work in the Jockey Club End-of-Life Community Care Project (JCECC) under the Faculty of Social Sciences. The Project, started in 2016, aimed at improving the quality of End-of-Life Care (EoLC), enhancing the capacity of service providers, as well as raising public awareness on life and death issues. Details of the Project could be found at <a data-mz=\"\" href=\"http://www.jcecc.hk/\" rel=\"no-follow\">http://www.JCECC.hk</a>.\n\n\nDuties and Responsibilities\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>develop, deliver, coordinate and evaluate professional training programmes and public education activities on End-of-Life Care (EoLC)</li>\n<li>supervise other training officers</li>\n<li>perform other administrative and/or research duties as assigned </li>\n</ul>\n\n\nRequirements\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>possess a good Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health, Psychology, Behavioral Health, Counseling or a related discipline and at least 3 years’ experience in conducting end-of-life care (EoLC) or elderly care professional training for medical or social work sector and/or related public education in Hong Kong</li>\n<li>having a strong reputation in psycho-social and communication aspects of EoLC and knowledge on curriculum design and e-learning on EoLC would be an advantage</li>\n<li>having a strong medical or social work network will be an advantage</li>\n<li>excellent written and spoken proficiency in Chinese/Cantonese and English is essential</li>\n<li>applicants with less experience or qualifications may be considered for appointment as Assistant Lecturer.</li>\n</ul>\n\n\nWhat We Offer\n\n\nThe appointment will commence as soon as possible on a 2-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.\n\n\nA highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary.
