{"job":{"jobId":2498052,"fk_accountId":null,"fk_organizationId":483,"fk_adminAccountId":null,"title":"Research Fellow, Singapore Wearable-enabled Health Impact Study","description":"\n\nJob Description\n\n\nThe Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health (SSHSPH) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) is recruiting a Research Fellow in the SWISH study. The Singapore Wearable-enabled Health Impact Study (SWISH) aims to assess the impact of HPB wearable-enabled health promotion programmes on the health and health-related behaviours of participants. This project will involve recruitment, assessment, and analysis of the research data.\n\n\nWe’re looking for a Research Follow who is excited to be involved in the evaluation of national-level programmes to help in informing programmes and policies for the improvement of Singapore’s population healthcare. In this role, you will act as the principal research analyst and programmer. The position will require excellent management as well as extensive programming skills (in multiple languages) and knowledge of health economics and policy. You will be responsible for the long-term evaluation of LumiHealth and NSC, as well as the economic evaluation, with support from the research staff. From a research perspective, you will be supporting Dr Chen in literature review as well as horizon scanning for various policy developments in Singapore as well as other relevant countries. As a programmer, you will be expected to take on significant technical programming and execution of various scenarios, as well as execute extensive model checking and validation exercises. You will also need to contribute to manuscript writing. From a project management perspective, you will be required to assist in tracking project deadlines, coordinate the research team (including organizing stakeholder meetings) and maintain team communication.\n\n\nQualifications\n\n\nThe appointed candidate should: (1) hold at least a PhD degree, with specialisation related to statistics, mathematics, computer science, quantitative social science, public health, epidemiology or related field (2) be proficient in Stata or R and (3) Have proven ability to conduct independent research with a strong and relevant publication record (4) Excellent interpersonal communication and oral presentation skills in English. (5) Good grasp of research methods and design communication.\n\n\nThe ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to query large data sets and have excellent knowledge of quantitative methods in applied health and/or social sciences. Fluency in English, as well as demonstrably good writing and analytic skills, are essential.
