The AMCS program contributes to the development of mathematical frameworks and methodologies to foster economic prosperity and enhance the quality of life through the power of applied mathematics.\n\n\nPriority research areas in Applied Mathematics and Computational Sciences include Applied Geometry, Applied Probability, and Mathematical Foundations of Data Science. All relevant areas will also be considered, including but not limited to, Applied Analysis, Partial Differential Equations, Numerical Analysis, Scientific Computing, and Optimization. Candidates with portfolios that align with Saudi Arabia’s national priorities for research, development, and innovation (RDI), namely, Health and Wellness, Sustainability and Essential Needs, Energy and Industrials, and Economies of the Future will be given the utmost priority (see also <a data-mz=\"\" href=\"https://www.rdia.gov.sa/index.en.html\" rel=\"no-follow\">https://www.rdia.gov.sa/index.en.html</a>).\n\n\nDue to the high volume of applications received, only those submitted through the online form will be considered. Applications will receive full consideration if submitted on or before December 31st and until the positions are filled.\n\n\nHigh priority will be given to the overall originality and promise of the candidate’s work rather than the candidate’s sub-area of specialization. Applicants on the interface of KAUST strategic initiatives, including artificial intelligence, climate and livability, resilient computing, cybersecurity and smart health are encouraged. An earned PhD in Mathematics or a related field, and strong publication record in top-tier journals, are required. Senior candidates must have demonstrated exceptional leadership in the field.\n\n\nFemale faculty are particularly encouraged to apply.\n\n\nA successful candidate will be expected to teach courses at the graduate level, and to build and lead a research group of postdoctoral fellows and graduate students.
