This research explores the wave attenuation capabilities of coastal vegetation under three-dimensional, combined wave-current flow conditions. The goal is to develop innovative, physically based models that quantify the protective benefits a vegetation meadow can offer to shorelines.\n\n\nThis research aligns with Singapore's recently launched coastal research programme, which emphasizes the incorporation of nature-based solutions in coastal defense strategies.\n\n\nThe research fellow will work with Assistant Professor Gary Lei from Civil and Environmental Engineering at NUS.
