The role will work closely with the operations teams to help ensure that mechanical, electrical, building and campus services are maintained and operated in a compliant manner. In addition, this role is instrumental in auditing processes and documentation, as well as analysing data and preparing reports to support decision making.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">This is an exciting time to join the University. The work will be varied, involving collaboration with different people and teams across the Estates & Facilities department. Key responsibilities will include providing guidance relating to the compliance of maintenance operations, identifying opportunities for improvement, internal auditing, analysis of compliance information, and maintaining the departmental risk register.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><strong>About you</strong></p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">You will have substantial knowledge and experience of maintenance and operation of the type of public buildings to be found on Higher Education estates, and substantial knowledge and experience of planned preventative maintenance and statutory compliance relating to mechanical and electrical systems. You will have the ability to understand complex engineering systems, an aptitude to influence, and good communication skills.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">You will be educated to HND, NVQ4 or BTEC Level 6 in an appropriate discipline or hold a professional qualification of ACIBSE Incorporated Engineer or equivalent. You will be a positive and proactive problem solver, with the ability to plan and manage your own workload.
