These areas of study are offered by the Disciplines of English and Literary Studies and Gender Studies in The Department of English and Cultural Studies (ECS), within the School of Humanities at UWA.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">The School of Humanities provides a diverse intellectual environment with over 3500 students studying undergraduate and postgraduate courses in a range of Humanities disciplines. Staff in ECS teach and research in fields of literary and cultural studies, including English literature, Australian literature, world literature, creative writing, literary theory, and gender studies and feminist theory. Where appropriate, staff in ECS can contribute to other interdisciplinary areas within the School and across the University. The appointee will be expected to enhance the areas’ recognised international reputation for excellence. You will teach into these programs, assist in the development of undergraduate units and participate in the supervision of Honours and Higher Degree candidates. The paper is written by students and mocks current events and political figures.
