{"job":{"jobId":2498722,"fk_accountId":null,"fk_organizationId":494,"fk_adminAccountId":null,"title":"Digital Health Learning Technologist","description":"\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">Job Description</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">The King’s Health Partners Digital Health Hub (KHP DHH) will be one of five new UK Hubs supported by the EPSRC to promote knowledge and skills sharing across healthcare, academia and business, and drive innovation in digital health.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">The KHP DHH will be an accessible national multi-disciplinary resource supporting training, co-creation, and translation of digital health technologies. We have brought together a critical mass of expertise from across KHP, patient and public representatives, NHS and social care and industry partners, to provide support, enable knowledge transfer and create opportunities for the acceleration of digital health across the UK. KHP DHH will provide: (1) dedicated people and resource, built on a foundation of existing infrastructure but scaled-up with EPSRC funding to meet demand, providing input and guidance on projects supported by the Hub (2) a NHS-academic-industry setting - our core ideology (3) a physical base within the new London Institute for Healthcare Engineering , important for collaboration and common ethos and (4) an excellent training provision to grow national capabilities, with an offering across sectors.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">The KHP DHH core pillars (Training, Co-creation, Translation & Acceleration) will interlink and provide support across the continuum of design, development and implementation and will provide direct access to experts and training, fund pilot studies and patient participation. Researchers and organisations across the UK who access the Hub will tap into London’s vibrant investment ecosystem and benefit from the accessibility of our London location. The Hub will accelerate the translational pipeline of new technologies by leveraging vital enabling infrastructure across KHP, where we have a track record of development, testing, translation, and commercialisation of digital health technologies.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">Within the training pillar of the KHP DHH we are looking to hire a learning technologist to join this exciting new award. We are looking for someone who can combine their expertise and passion for education and learning facilitation with knowledge of health data science and AI. </p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">This role will be key in supporting the learning of those working at the digital health interface – including researchers, industry partners and health care workers developing health technologies.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">The post holder will be responsible for developing and expanding our online learning material making sure we can match our training delivery to the individuals needs across the spectrum of digital health through using innovative teaching technology and methods.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">This role will see you work with a variety of stakeholders in the expansion and creation of learning resources that cover the award from basic data science skills to implementation of new medical technologies.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">The person in this role will ideally have experience of learning design and e-learning content development, including online virtual learning environments. They will have an understanding of how web-based, multimedia and mobile technologies can be used to enhance learning, teaching and assessment and experience of working within Higher Education and/or the NHS would be an advantage. Enthusiasm and commitment to innovative and quality learning methods and experiences is essential.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">This post will be offered on an a fixed-term contract till 30/09/2026.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">This is a full-time post.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">Key Responsibilities</p>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Contribute to the needs gaps analysis of current training available in digital health and identify key development areas. </li>\n<li>Collate existing training material in digital health and organize it in a structured training course and online resources.</li>\n<li>To work closely with the programme academic and professional services team to design and develop innovative learning & teaching experiences within virtual learning environments.</li>\n<li>To provide expert advice and guidance on the best practice and use of the VLE/LMS to support educational activities including maintain deep knowledge and understanding of VLE activities.</li>\n<li>Developing and integrating assessment and feedback practices which could include using quizzes, software demonstration and reflective practice exercises. </li>\n<li>Work collaboratively with those leading in-person training opportunities to ensure there is cohesion between all training development across the programme both online and in person.</li>\n<li>Working collaboratively with other pillars across the KHP DHH to ensure a coordinated activity.</li>\n<li>To plan and deliver training for programme staff in order to support the sustainability of online training.</li>\n<li>To work with graduate teaching assistants when required to support the development or sustability of the training.</li>\n<li>Remain abreast of latest technological developments, including hardware/software that may be useful for the programme. </li>\n</ul>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">The above list of responsibilities may not be exhaustive, and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks and responsibilities as may reasonably be expected within the scope and grading of the post.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">Skills, knowledge, and experience</p>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Practical and detailed knowledge of the use of a range of functionality in various virtual learning environments</li>\n<li>Experience in developing high quality and engaging virtual teaching to stand alone or in conjunction with in-person training opportunities</li>\n<li>Ability to make recommendations for appropriate design and use of various VLEs for the learning outcomes of the programme</li>\n</ul>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">Essential criteria</p>\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Significant knowledge and skills across a range of supportive learning technologies, e-Assessment processes, web technologies and media</li>\n<li>Excellent communication and presentation skills, including a high standard of English both in formal documents and writing for the web in particular when conveying complex information to a lay/non-expert audience</li>\n<li>Excellent level of understanding of customer needs and user experience (UX/UI) including awareness and knowledge surrounding accessibility and inclusivity of digital materials</li>\n<li>Strong knowledge and understanding of online education pedagogy, curriculum design, and how technology can lead on the facilitation of this learning</li>\n<li>Significant working experience of MOODLE or equivalent VLE and supporting all assessment processes (quizzes, assignments, gradebook etc)</li>\n<li>Experience of developing e-learning solutions and identifying high quality teaching and learning resources</li>\n<li>Able to use experience and initiative to plan, prioritise and deliver projects, meeting deadlines</li>\n<li>Ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a dynamic and agile team with a positive and proactive approach</li>\n<li>Ability to proactively problem solve</li>\n</ol>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px;
