{"job":{"jobId":2499404,"fk_accountId":null,"fk_organizationId":1101,"fk_adminAccountId":null,"title":"Research Fellow RCT of Family Therapy for County Lines","description":"\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><strong>FEHHS Human Sciences: Psychology & Counselling</strong></p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><strong>Location: </strong>Greenwich Campus\n<strong>Salary: </strong>£37,099 to £42,978 plus £4069 London weighting per annum\n<strong>Contract Type: </strong>Fixed Term\n<strong>Release Date: </strong>Thursday 02 November 2023\n<strong>Closing Date: </strong>Monday 27 November 2023\n<strong>Interview Date: </strong>To be confirmed\n<strong>Reference: </strong>4270-E</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">This is a three-year full-time postdoctoral post working on a clinical trial of family therapy for County Lines Drug Network (CLDN) involvement and Child Criminal Exploitation (CCE).</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">The post holder will take day-to-day responsibility for conducting a Randomised Controlled Trial assessing the efficacy of <a data-mz=\"\" href=\"https://www.fftllc.com/fft-gang/\" rel=\"no-follow\">Functional Family Therapy-Gangs</a> for preventing young people being involved in County Lines and being criminally exploited. The study is being conducted in three London boroughs with high rates of social deprivation and CLDN activity in partnership with Family Psychology Mutual and Royal Holloway University of London. It is funded by the <a data-mz=\"\" href=\"https://youthendowmentfund.org.uk/\" rel=\"no-follow\">Youth Endowment Fund</a> (YEF). This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the understanding of what works to support some of the most vulnerable young people in the UK and their families and disrupt the activities of organised criminal groups exploiting young people. The post-holder will gain valuable skills in clinical trials design and experience of helping to conduct an evaluation study in a complex setting. </p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">You will be based at University of Greenwich in the Centre for Vulnerable Children and Families, which is part of the <a data-mz=\"\" href=\"https://www.gre.ac.uk/institute-lifecourse-development\" rel=\"no-follow\">Institute of Lifecourse Development</a>. The Institute uses interdisciplinary expertise to promote the lifelong wellbeing of vulnerable and marginalised people in the community. You will work under the supervision of Dr Sajid Humayun, who is an expert on youth antisocial behaviour and evidence-based interventions. You will also work with Professor Claire Monks (Professor of Developmental Psychology), who conducts research on aggression and violence among young people, and Professor Darrick Jolliffe (Professor of Criminology, Royal Holloway University of London), who has been conducting evaluations and feasibility studies in this area for over 19 years, producing work for numerous national and international government agencies.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">You will have (or be close to completing) a PhD in Psychology, healthcare or a related discipline, excellent quantitative research skills and be independently motivated. You must also be able to demonstrate experience conducting research with vulnerable young people and families. </p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">The post is full-time with an anticipated start date of February 2024 or as soon as possible thereafter.
