{"job":{"jobId":2499840,"fk_accountId":null,"fk_organizationId":661,"fk_adminAccountId":null,"title":"Postdoctoral Scientist - CeTPD - UOD1083","description":"\n\nWe are recruiting for a highly motivated individual to join us as a Post-Doctoral Scientist with research experience in cell biology and assay development to join a growing multi-disciplinary group of scientists within our expanding Centre based at the University of Dundee, directed by Professor Alessio Ciulli.\n\n\nThe post is available for an immediate start and until 30th June 2024 in the first instance, which may be extendable dependent on project progress and funding. Salary will depend on experience and will be up to £44,263.\n\n\nAppointment on the Grade 7 salary scale is dependent upon you having been awarded a PhD or having equivalent post- graduate industrial experience. An appointment may be considered if you are shortly expected to be awarded a PhD. In this case the initial appointment would be made as a Research Assistant on the Training Grade 7 salary scale (Spinal Point 25 - 28)\n\n\nYour priorities will include:\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Undertaking research aimed at developing novel cell-based and proteomics assays to characterise and identify new E3 ligases.</li>\n<li>Project development and implementation, including experimental design; identification and development of a broad range of techniques necessary to achieve the research objectives.</li>\n<li>Working collaboratively with other team members to develop team science across the group and wider Centre, enabling breakthroughs with colleagues across disciplines.</li>\n<li>Present findings internally and externally at international conferences.</li>\n<li>Contributing to the preparation of research for publication</li>\n</ul>\n\n\nWho we're looking for:\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>PhD in Cell Biology, Bio-Medicine or a related discipline with a strong academic track record</li>\n<li>Strong interest in targeted protein degradation and translational research</li>\n<li>Strong background in Bio-Chemistry, Cell Biology/Proteomics</li>\n<li>Practical experience in assay development in vitro and in cells</li>\n<li>Experience of collaboration is desirable.</li>\n<li>Strong ability to work independently but with excellent ability to work in a team.</li>\n<li>Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and knowledge of the English language are essential.</li>\n</ul>\n\n\nWe are one of the UK's leading universities, internationally recognised for our expertise across a range of disciplines and research breakthroughs in multiple areas, including science, medicine and engineering, amongst many others.
