Over the 5-year period from 2017 to 2022 the School submitted 508 proposals worth €662M, which resulted in €59M in research grants being awarded, equating to €13M in research funding per year. Over the same period academics in the School published 1,540 journal articles, with a field-weighted citation impact (during 2018-22) of 1.56, compared to a world average of 1.0.\n\n\nThe School wishes to continue the development of its research programme with the appointment of a School Research Manager who will provide tailored support to assist researchers within the School to achieve their research ambitions. The role will complement and add to existing School research supports. This is an exciting, hands-on and delivery-focused role in which the Manager will be afforded significant responsibility to establish and manage research support services for researchers within the School. S/he is expected to be a self-starter, well organised and highly adaptive, and to develop a detailed understanding of relevant UCD infrastructure and processes and a familiarity with relevant funding environments. The Manager will develop relationships with multiple stakeholders and contribute to the network of research support available in other Schools in the UCD College of Health and Agricultural Sciences, and more broadly within the University.\n\n\n95 Admin Officer I_2010 (0172_X) Salary: €49,131 - € 66,532 per annum.\n\n\nAppointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.\n\n\nAppointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.\n\n\nClosing date: 17:00hrs (local Irish time) on 28th November 2023.\n\n\nApplications must be submitted by the closing date and time specified.
