{"job":{"jobId":2500245,"fk_accountId":null,"fk_organizationId":483,"fk_adminAccountId":null,"title":"Research Fellow (Hydrological and Ecological Observatories)","description":"\n\nJob Description\n\n\nThe Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS) invites applications for Research Fellow position in Hydrological and Ecological Observatories to begin as soon as possible.\nThe newly launched “Coastal Protection and Flood Resilience Institute (CFI) Singapore” is expecting to conduct research to enhance our understanding of convective rainfall patterns in the tropics, their modifications due to climate change and urbanization, as well as how a new rainfall regime might affect runoff production and flood risk. This research will be supported by extensive hydrological observations including a new network that can measure precipitation at a super high spatial frequency and the establishment of experimental catchments to study runoff formation process and hydrological response in tropical soils.  \nThe selected candidate will be\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for establishing the field sites, conducting and coordinating the hydrological observations, collaborating with other researchers on the scientific tasks of the project, as well as reinforcing the liaisons with industr  partners and local agencies.</li>\n<li>Expected to act as project coordinator for two major projects and lead outreach and reporting activities.
