This new role will work in partnership with the Deputy Director of the South Coast DTP, the Doctoral Training Manager, students and external partners to identify, develop and facilitate placements and placement opportunities for PhD students in the SCDTP and to use this expertise and knowledge to support the development of placement provision.\n\n\nThe Research in Practice Lead will work across the whole life-cycle, and will:\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Define and support the placements offer for students</li>\n<li>Work creatively with employers (including graduate recruiters, SME’s, start-ups, charities and third sector organisations and public bodies) and students, to identify and facilitate placement opportunities</li>\n<li>Ensure that student are well-positioned to successfully take up and complete placements with employers</li>\n<li>Develop and review the placement offer and its benefit to students</li>\n</ul>\n\n\nThe post holder will also work closely with the University’s Careers, Employability and Student Enterprise service.\n\n\nFor further information about the position, please contact Nasseem Fazel-Hamedani, <a data-mz=\"\" href=\"mailto:n.fazel-hamedani@soton.ac.uk\" rel=\"no-follow\">n.fazel-hamedani@soton.ac.uk</a>.\n\n\nWhat we can offer you\n\n\nAs a university we aim to create an environment where everyone can thrive and are proactive in fostering a culture of inclusion, respect and equality of opportunity.
