The successful applicant will join a team of fellow professionals within the School of Veterinary Medicine committed to providing excellence in teaching for the benefit of a new generation of vets.\n\n\nAbout the role \n\n\n<ul>\n<li>In the role, you will use your skills to support theoretical and practical animal health and husbandry teaching across years one and two of the programme, small group clinical skills teaching in years three and four, and veterinary public health teaching in year five of the programme. </li>\n<li>You will also be expected to support practical assessment across all years of the programme and contribute to academic administrative duties. To support the needs of the programme one of your working days will be a Tuesday.</li>\n</ul>\n\n\nThe School of Veterinary Medicine follows a distributed model for final year teaching and we are actively partnered with leading veterinary practices and local research institutes whose clinicians and scientists participate in teaching throughout the undergraduate curriculum. Successful candidates may be required to support students on rotation through off-site visits to partner practices.\n\n\nAbout you\n\n\nOur Lecturers play an important role in influencing the future of the veterinary profession. To achieve this, we have established the following guiding principle for all new staff members who are on a local/Guildford contract, effective for all new starters.\n\n\nFour-Day On-Campus Commitment: All new staff, whether full-time or part-time, are expected to be physically present on campus for a minimum of four days each week during their initial four to six months of employment. The duration will vary depending on individual with minimum duration being 4 months and maximum duration being 6 months. This requirement is adjusted on a pro-rata basis for part-time staff members.
