In line with the University’s Strategic Plan 2022-2028 to build scholarly and research capabilities in designated strategic areas over the next few years, with a special focus on cross-Faculty collaborations in multi-disciplinary research and teaching programmes, we now invite applications from around the globe for various interdisciplinary academic positions at the rank from Postdoctoral Fellow to Chair Professor.\n\n\nPost Ref.: 22/93\n\n\nThe University is seeking to hire a full-time Professor/Associate Professor in the area of Modern Chinese Literature.\n\n\nCandidates should have\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>a PhD in the relevant discipline;</li>\n<li>at least ten years of relevant experience for appointment as Professor / at least five years of relevant experience for appointment as Associate Professor;</li>\n<li>world-class research outputs including publications in world leading journals and university presses for appointment as Professor / an excellent track record in peer-reviewed journals of good international standing and/or university presses for appointment as Associate Professor;</li>\n<li>a good track record in competitive grant applications in the relevant areas; and</li>\n<li>sound knowledge of modern and contemporary Chinese literature in global contexts.</li>\n</ol>\n\n\nThe appointee will join the Faculty of Arts (<a href=\"https://www.ln.edu.hk/arts/\" rel=\"no-follow\">https://www.ln.edu.hk/arts/</a>) and will be expected to conduct research projects and publish outputs with high impact, teach courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and participate in academic and professional activities. In particular, the appointee is expected to apply for external competitive grants, and commit to teaching excellence and active services to the Faculty and the University. Candidates are required to provide evidence of their research records and quality teaching. A proven record in academic leadership and institutional service would be a distinct advantage. The rank and remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
