Our in vitro models include a large portfolio of neuronal cell systems, including 2D neurons and 3D cerebral organoids. We aim to study, and ultimately to understand, the mechanisms of AD initiation and potential treatment for AD.\nWe focus on mechanisms of neuronal differentiation, cellular senescence, metabolism, endosomal trafficking, and pathogen infections and how these processes influence the pathobiology of AD.\nOur research is hypothesis-driven, and we seek to complement our analytical tools with high-throughput bulk-mRNA/miRNA seq analyses as well as single-cell seq transcriptomics to fully exploit the potential of our unique model systems.\nAs a part of the job, we offer participation in the relevant Bioinformatics training at EMBL-EBI or similar.\nWe collaborate with numerous Czech and International Laboratories, including Max Planck Institute, Germany; Aarhus University, Denmark; Amsterdam UMC, The Netherlands, and others.\nOur team currently consists of 7 Post-doctoral researchers, 1 Research Scientist, 2 Ph.D. students, and 1 undergrad student, who are all proficient in their fields of expertise.
\n\n\n
The successful candidate should:
\n\n\n
\n
Hold a Ph.D. or its equivalent, awarded within the past 7 years.
\n
Have a research background that includes a minimum of 2 full years of work, within the last 3 years, in the field of research conducted outside the Czech Republic, with a workload equivalent to at least 0.5 full-time employment, or have experience as a doctoral student (or equivalent) in an international setting.
\n
Demonstrate a publication record that includes a minimum of three research outputs (articles) within the past three years, surpassing the field's median standards, with at least two of them ranked in Q1 according to Web of Science.
\n
\n\n\n
Specific qualifications include:
\n\n\n
\n
Possession of a scientific degree in computational biology, bioinformatics, or closely related fields.
\n
A robust interest in single-cell omics, with a track record in applied NGS data analysis, particularly in transcriptomics (RNA-seq, scRNA-seq). It still embodies the republican and democratic spirit of the times in its commitment to remaining autonomous and giving students an important role in designing their own courses. Close to 200,000 students have now passed through its doors.

Based in Brno, Masaryk University has a staff of over 5,000 (more than 2,000 of them academics), which makes it the leading employer in South Moravia and the leading public university in the whole of Moravia as well as the second largest in the Czech Republic. One of the fastest-expanding universities in Europe, it is also able to be highly selective, since places to study there are the most sought after in the country. The total student body, scattered across over 200 different departments, institutes and clinics, is more than 40,000, over 7,000 of them from overseas.

A leading research institution, Masaryk University offers courses across the full spectrum of traditional and contemporary fields, but with a particular focus on science. In 2006, for example, it set up a pioneering university research station in the Antarctic to explore the parts of the terrain which are ice-free. Four years later, with the help of around 200 million Euros in financial support from the European Union, it completed the construction of a new campus at Bohunice, Further developments have seen the overall area it covers rise to 70,000 square metres. It is now home to a range of facilities, including the Central European Research Centre of Excellence, equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories in life science and advanced materials, and the Centre for Toxic Compounds in the Environment.
","logoImg":"","logoImgSquare":"https://s3.ap-northeast-2.amazonaws.com/jobs.ac.kr/dev/images/dsjlfkjxclkjv_409206260272.png","homepageUrl":"http://www.muni.cz/","infoUrl":"https://www.timeshighereducation.com/world-university-rankings/masaryk-university","country":"CZ","state":"Brno","location":"유럽","address":"Žerotínovo námestí 9 Rektorát, Brno-mesto, Brno, Czech Republic","phoneNumber":"+420 549 491 111","faxNumber":"","type":1,"univType1":"대학","univType2":"대학교","univType3":"","univType4":"본교","establishedAt":"1919-01-28T00:00:00.000Z","count_majors":null,"count_students":null,"meta_competitiveness":"","publishState":1,"updatedAt":"2020-03-18T14:33:59.000Z","createdAt":"2020-03-04T20:13:07.000Z","default_1_bannerImage":null,"default_1_bannerImageMobile":null,"default_2_bannerImage":null,"default_2_bannerImageMobile":null,"default_3_bannerImage":null,"default_3_bannerImageMobile":null}}
