The proposal consists of three topics: (A) Analysis on the Riemann zeta function, (B) multiplicative analysis, and (C) Fourier interpolation and quasicrystals. Parts (B) and (C) represent emerging fields of analysis and are interconnected via their link to part (A).</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">The core team of Fourmula consists of Professors Eugenia Malinnikova and Kristian Seip, and Associate Professors Andriy Bondarenko, Sigrid Grepstad, and Karl-Mikael Perfekt. Professor Seip is the Principal Investigator of the project.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><strong>Duties of the position</strong></p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">It is expected that the postdoctoral fellow contributes to at least one of the three main goals of Fourmula which are</p>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>to develop analytic techniques and viewpoints that are of specific interest to the Riemann zeta function and other L-functions.</li>\n<li>to develop the theory of Hardy spaces of Dirichlet series and specifically study composition operators acting on such spaces and spectral resolution of Mellin type operators.</li>\n<li>to develop the general theory of Fourier interpolation and quasicrystals.</li>\n</ul>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><strong>Required selection criteria</strong></p>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>You must have completed a Norwegian doctoral degree or corresponding foreign doctoral degree recognized as equivalent to a Norwegian PhD in Mathematical Sciences. If you can document that the PhD thesis has been submitted, your application can be assessed even if you have not yet defended your dissertation. From the salary, 2% is deducted as a contribution to the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">The period of employment is 2 years. In addition, the department might have the possibility to offer you a 3rd year with teaching duties.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">The engagement is to be made in accordance with the regulations in force concerning <a data-mz=\"\" href=\"https://lovdata.no/dokument/NL/lov/2017-06-16-67\" rel=\"no-follow\">State Employees and Civil Servants</a>, and the acts relating to Control of the Export of Strategic Goods, Services and Technology.
