While we will consider any sub-disciplinary expertise, we are interested in areas of innovation in anthropological inquiry, including nature, science, and climate crises, food and agriculture systems, linguistic anthropology, critical data studies, migration, heritage, and comparative religion. The person appointed will have a proven record of teaching excellence, and a record of excellent research and publication appropriate to career stage.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">The person appointed will be expected to make a strong contribution to the teaching programme of the Department and undertake teaching duties on the Department’s undergraduate, postgraduate, and interdisciplinary programmes, together with the supervision of Masters and PhD students. The appointee will be expected to have a strong research profile that supports the University’s research strategy including affiliating to the Research Institutes, where appropriate, and working with colleagues on national and international research. The appointee will be expected to sustain and conduct research, engage in scholarship of quality and substance, and generate publications of international standard.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"><strong>Assistant Professor / Lecturer (2023) Salary Scale:</strong> €60,261 – €95,425 p.a. (7 points)\n<strong>Assistant Lecturer (2023) Salary Scale: </strong>€38,649 - €67,002 p.a.
