{"job":{"jobId":2504479,"fk_accountId":null,"fk_organizationId":493,"fk_adminAccountId":null,"title":"Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology","description":"\n\nWork type: Full-time\nDepartment: Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, School of Clinical Medicine (21000)\nCategories: Senior Research Staff &amp; Post-doctoral Fellow, Research Staff\n\n\nPost-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (Ref.: 523965) \n\n\nWe now invite applications for the captioned post.\n\n\nDuties and Responsibilities\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Be able to work individually on a project related to one or more the following aspects: deep learning for medical vision, 3D reconstruction, 3D modeling and rendering, depth sensing, computer graphics.</li>\n<li>Coordinate data collection, processing, and analysis for enhanced efficiency and accuracy.</li>\n<li>Undertake essential engineering tasks for seamless project execution.</li>\n<li>Report progress and deliverables punctually on a weekly basis.</li>\n<li>Conduct cutting-edge research and prepare academic articles individually.</li>\n<li>Mentor and supervise graduates, undergraduates, and research assistants for their professional growth.</li>\n<li>Actively participate in grant proposal writing to secure funding for innovative projects.</li>\n<li>Applicants should also have keen interests in medical applications, software and platform development as well as strong technical knowledge and skills in computer graphics and 3D sensing related fields.</li>\n</ol>\n\n\nRequirements\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in Engineering/Science or a related field which meets the criteria as set out in the guidelines of the Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) <a data-mz=\"\" href=\"http://(https://www.itf.gov.hk/en/funding-programmes/nurturing-talent/research-talent-hub/research-talent-hub-for-itf-projects-rth-itf-/index.html\" rel=\"no-follow\" target=\"_blank\">(https://www.itf.gov.hk/en/funding-programmes/nurturing-talent/research-talent-hub/research-talent-hub-for-itf-projects-rth-itf-/index.html</a>). </li>\n<li>Familiar with deep learning toolbox (PyTorch, Tensorflow, Keras, etc) and classical framework. Has rich experience in one or more following fields: computer graphics, computer vision, 3D modelling, 3D Rendering, depth sensing, etc.</li>\n<li>Have rich experience in developing deep learning models.</li>\n<li>Have work experience on Unix/Linux OS.</li>\n<li>A good interpersonal and communication skills.</li>\n<li>Good coordination, organizational and problem-solving skills.</li>\n<li>Be highly motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to work independently and in a team.</li>\n<li>Good time management skill and can deliver projects in time.</li>\n<li>Knowledge in research equipment setup or chemical handling would be an added advantage.</li>\n</ol>\n\n\nWhat We Offer\n\n\nThe appointment will commence as soon as possible on a temporary basis for 1 to 2 year(s), with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
