We seek to build on our international research profile and research-led education programmes to confront the most pressing scientific and societal challenges in the natural environment.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">As part of a continuing hiring programme that has seen 12 new staff recruited over the past 3 years, we are seeking to make a Faculty appointment in Marine Conservation and Management from individuals using innovative approaches to pursue outstanding research questions in nature-based solutions, marine conservation, or sustainable marine resource management, policy and law.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\"> Applicants should be pursuing outstanding research questions in one of the above specified areas and will have a growing international profile that adds a new dimension our existing interdisciplinary research programs at the <a data-mz=\"\" href=\"https://www.southampton.ac.uk/oes/index.page\" rel=\"no-follow\">School of Ocean and Earth Science</a> (SOES).</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">Based at the <a data-mz=\"\" href=\"https://noc.ac.uk/\" rel=\"no-follow\">National Oceanography Centre Southampton</a>, within the University’s Faculty of Environmental and Life Sciences, we have strong links to the <a data-mz=\"\" href=\"https://www.southampton.ac.uk/smmi/index.page\" rel=\"no-follow\">Southampton Marine and Maritime Institute</a>, <a data-mz=\"\" href=\"http://www.geodata.soton.ac.uk/geodata/\" rel=\"no-follow\">GeoData institute</a>, <a data-mz=\"\" href=\"https://www.southampton.ac.uk/research/institutes-centres/sustainability-resilience-institute\" rel=\"no-follow\">Sustainability and Resilence Institute</a>, <a data-mz=\"\" href=\"https://www.southampton.ac.uk/research/institutes-centres/institute-for-life-sciences\" rel=\"no-follow\">Institute for Life Sciences</a>, and <a data-mz=\"\" href=\"https://www.southampton.ac.uk/isolutions/staff/iridis.page\" rel=\"no-follow\">world-class supercomputer facilities</a>.
