Molecular biological methods (including qPCR, RT-qPCR, and metagenomics) will be used to characterise microbial community composition and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in water, sediment, and plant samples. Additionally, a lab-scale experiment will be conducted to explore a novel wetland technology as a nature-based solution to mitigate AMR proliferation during wastewater treatment.
