GRI is structured to support all aspects of the project cycle from identifying relevant funding opportunities right through to maximising the impact from the University’s activities</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">The Funding Support and Information Services team provide specialist support across the university to academics undertaking their R&KE activities. This support ranges from specialist advice during the project application process right through the project cycle and the preparation for key framework assessments, including REF and KEF. The team provide specialist support on scholarly communications, knowledge exchange and enhancing impact from the University’s work and operate effective and efficient systems to support academic endeavour.</p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">The Knowledge Exchange (KE) Manager role is a new role within GRI and will sit within our Funding Support and Information Services Team. The postholder will support the university’s aspirations to grow collaborative activities in support of KE and innovation goals, improve social and economic impact and continue the growth in its income from national and international funding sources by assisting academics across the university to develop and secure significant new research and KE awards and to support academics in developing and evidencing pathways to real-world impact. </p>\n\n\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 20px; font-family: san-serif;\">We are looking for a KE Manager who will:</p>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Lead on the management and organisation of KE activities in GRI and the wider university (working with faculty KE managers), assisting in the development of processes to evidence impact including changing the development of policy, practices, or services, influencing legislation, and changing behaviour</li>\n<li>Ultimately there will be the opportunity to develop and implement a KE strategy as well as facilitating knowledge sharing and collaboration among staff</li>\n<li>Engage with a range of partners in relevant sectors both internally and externally to initiate, facilitate and support the development of new and existing partnerships, covering all aspects of the university</li>\n<li>In supporting colleagues (GRI, Finance etc.), manage the University’s HESA-related returns including HEBCI survey submissions to Research England, including the specification, acquisition, and analysis of data to agreed timetables across the University, ensuring accuracy of the submissions and seeking internal approvals for submission. The Avery Hill campus is located in 86-acre grounds in Eltham, southeast London, and is made up of two sites that feature computer clusters, laboratories, lecture theatres and libraries, as well as being surrounded by pubs, clubs and restaurants.</p><p>The university’s Medway campus, 30 miles from central London on the Kent coast, is defined by Edwardian redbrick and ivy-clad buildings that house the Faculty of Engineering and Science as well as programmes from the Faculty of Education and Health.</p><p> </p><p>The university has a large international community and students come from nearly 180 countries worldwide.
